GEOMETRY- Venturi achieves balance by using symmetry. The 'bow tie' configuration in plan view encourages diagonal movement throughout the house, while circle geometry softens hard angles both in plan and section view. I found out that the configuration of the the single circle within the 'bow tie' pulls attention to the living room, the main attraction of the house.
CIRCULATION- I used curves to convey fluid movement throughout the house. Larger 'bloated' areas indicate high traffic areas.
ENCLOSURE- the envelope of the building is shaded in to emphasise the cosy nature of the home, while the interior walls convey how the interior space is partitioned.
PROGRAM- diagonal hatching indicates open living areas, cross hatching indicate private areas, and perforated cross hatching indicate transit areas.
STRUCTURE- basic four wall structure with brick core that holds up roof.
