PLAN
Three living areas are shown in plan; mystic's study area, fortune telling room and stargazing area. The light in the study has been manipulated to create a comfortable working area for the mystic. Rather than creating windows around his study, I deliberately placed windows in front and to the side of the mystic's desk. This avoids an annoying shadow being cast on the desk if light enters from behind the desk. I designed a stepped area around the desk to place the mystic in a lower position which is free from distractions let in by the windows. Also, windows in the study are elevated to allow light and air in rather than a beautiful view of the landscape to further create a silent and private study area.
A window seat was designed to allow the mystic to relax after a hard day's work or for him to contemplate while on the look out for his fortune telling clients.
Two entries flank the fortune telling room so that his privacy is not compromised. Clients are consulted and then leave without entering the mystic's sacred study area. The fortune telling room is illuminated by a small elevated window, which is a reminder of the "light of knowledge". Thus, the mystic's foresight is limited by the information passed down from the heavens.
The star gazing area has dual uses, it contains a stepped platform which allows both believers and the mystic to view stars and phenomena in the night sky, and is also an open amphitheatre for the mystic the present sermons to the believers.
My previous proposal of having four podiums was abandoned because I believe it compromises the view of the sky when spectators are seated. Also, the balcony where the mystic announces the news was scrapped. Shouting down from a tall mountain is possible but being heard is more difficult.

SECTION
The tall tower carries symbolism of man reaching up for knowledge, ascending from ignorance to higher learning embodied in the heavens.
